Reservations are accepted but not required. We do recommend that you make a reservation for events like
the Trail of Tears Commemorative Motorcycle Ride. For reservations, payment in advance is required and we
do not give refunds.
- What do you charge for tent sites?
We charge the entrance fee of $5.55 per person, which covers camping in tents. We do not charge per tent, but
per person.
- How much are your hook-up sites?
Our hook up sites rent for $16.55 per day, which includes the site and 2 people. During the Trail of Tears all of

- Do you charge for children?
We do not charge for children 6 and younger.

We welcome all pets as long as you control them, keep them leashed and do not leave them unattended.

We have no plans to have a band, but if you want to bring your own band, or your guitar, etc., you're welcome to
use our bandstand.
- Do you have a bathhouse?
Yes, we do have a bathhouse with hot water and we also have a washer & dryer.
- How close are you to the water?
We are right on the water; tent sites at water's edge and hook-up sites above the flood line.

We are 1/2 mile from the events, vendors, pow-wow.

We have 15, 20 and 30 amp hook-ups, and can accomodate a few 50 amp. All of our sites have water and
electric, some have sewer. Most sites have a picnic table, grill, and concrete pad.
- Do you have a dump station?
Not at this time, but there is one a few miles from us. We do have bathrooms!
- Is there a store, restaurants, etc?
There are two restaurants nearby, one about 1 mile from our campground and one about 5 miles from our
campground. There is a general store with hand-dipped ice cream!!! The closest WalMart is about a 40 minute
drive.
- Can we have guests?
Guests who come for a bite to eat or to just visit for a while are welcome at no charge; guests who stay for hours and use the facilities and amenities are required to pay the $5.00 per person entrance fee if they stay longer than "a while" ; $5.55 for overnight guests.
- Do you rent by the month?
We do rent by the month, the rate would be around $450 per month plus any applicable lodging tax. We specialize in leasing lots by the year for vacation homes and home base lots. You can lease a lake front lot by the year for a
minimum of $2400.00 per year (utilities not included). That's a year of vacation for lots less than one week in Florida!
- I heard that the Trail of Tears Ride will end in Florence. Is this true? There is another ride on the same weekend that plans
to end in Florence; however the original ride, sponsored by the same group that has sponsored all the previous rides,
the Alabama Tennessee Trail of Tears Corridor Association, will follow the original path known as the Drane Hood Trail and will end in Waterloo.
